Families Belong Together Rally Tacoma 2018

Melannie Denise Cunningham, “The Peace Queen,” is continuing her journey to further justice and peace. In April, 2018, The Greater Tacoma Peace Prize announced that Melannie was selected as Peace Laureate for 2018, “For her exemplary work promoting racial reconciliation.” On June 30, 2018, Melannie addressed the large gathering of concerned citizens at People’s Park in Tacoma, about the urgent need to insist that our nation’s leaders immediately cease the deeply inhumane, reprehensible practice of separating families at our borders.
